Use the Intermodal Routing API v8 to plan journeys that combine:
- public transit
- walking
- driving
- parking
- traffic information
- shared-mobility service
The API calculates intermodal routes using available transportation services and real-time information. Depending on the journey, routes can include:
- vehicle routing
- scheduled and real-time transit departures
- pedestrian connections
- Park and Ride options
- traffic incidents
- transit delays or disruptions
- station amenities
- nearby sharing services such as taxis, car sharing, or bicycles.
Authenticate your requests according to your account configuration, then use Routes to request an intermodal journey between locations.
The API combines transit-agency, external-service, and HERE-collected data. Depending on local coverage, route and departure information can use real-time vehicle locations and disruptions, published timetables, or estimated travel times; estimated coverage may not include every available transit service.
