Introduction to HERE Indoor Map

HERE Indoor Maps offer high quality maps modeling indoor spaces, including building geometry and points of interest spanning across multiple floors. Indoor Maps also offer web and mobile libraries to develop your applications and services with high quality indoor map data, and a data API to access your maps as Map Object Model (MOM) formatted GeoJSON.

The Indoor portal on the HERE platform provides tools to manage your indoor maps and connects indoor maps as part of the HERE platform service portfolio.

HERE Indoor Maps let you order, manage, and utilize indoor maps that model building interiors. You can use HERE Indoor Maps for various types of buildings, such as parking garages, offices, warehouses, transit stations, hotels, and hospitals. HERE Indoor Maps also support private maps that are accessible only with credentials.

The main features of HERE Indoor Maps include:

• Map management on the Indoor portal on the HERE platform:
  • List and view your indoor maps.
  • Order new indoor maps.
  • Order updates to your indoor maps.
• Map use:
  • Use indoor maps in a mobile app through the HERE SDK Navigate for Android, iOS, and Flutter.
  • Embed indoor maps into websites through the HERE Maps API for JavaScript.
  • Fetch MOM-formatted indoor maps to your backend service for further use with the Data API.

HERE will create indoor maps and perform indoor map edits for you. You may use indoor maps combined with HERE Map Content or services.
