How to order and update indoor maps

You can request orders for new indoor maps and indoor map updates through the Indoor portal. For more information, you can also contact your HERE account representative

Order an indoor map

Indoor maps are produced for you by HERE. To order a new map, you need floor plans of your venue and some basic information about the building, such as the street address.

Start from the Indoor portal by clicking the Order a map button in the Overview or Your Indoor Maps tab.

HERE will contact you with a quoted price for producing the indoor map, along with any further questions. After agreeing to the quoted price, HERE begins producing the map.

You receive an email notification when the indoor map is ready and available for you in the Indoor portal on the HERE platform. As a result, the indoor map status changes from in creation (when a map is in production) or pending update (when an existing map is being updated) to ready. You also receive a notification that your order is complete. The indoor map is then ready for use.

📘

Note

The first indoor map must be ordered by an Org Admin. For more information, see Adding new users.

Update an indoor map

You can place an order to HERE if a change or an update is needed to an indoor map. A change can include updates such as:

  • Removing a wall.
  • A change in the name or occupant of a shop.
  • A meeting room name changes.
  • Adding a new level/floor to the building.

To initiate a map change, go to the Indoor portal, view the map, and click the annotation sign in the upper right corner of the view.

After you place the order, the indoor map status changes from ready to pending update. After HERE processes the update request, the status changes back to ready, and you receive a notification that your order is complete. The indoor map is now ready for use.

📘

Note

When placing an update order, you may also provide further floor plan files, such as for new floors.
