Whitelisting

By using whitelisting, you can define areas which are not affected by the anonymization process.

The trace points or events within the geofence of the whitelisted area are not subject to anonymization.

For such events, the anonymity rate is 0% and the utility rate is 100%.

Whitelisting can be used with HERE Private Mapping to define the areas in which the data isn't anonymized precisely to customer needs.

Example use cases for whitelisting include:

  • Logistics: whitelisting logistics centers allows for transport fleet coordination and reduction in anonymization processing costs.
  • Mining: whitelisting of mining sites with HERE Private Mapping allows for better oversight of vehicle movement patterns on premises.
  • Automotive OEM: whitelisting known test drive areas allows to record test drives and cuts down the anonymization processing costs.
