HERE WeGo Pro live tracking

HERE WeGo Pro can provide live location data, which enables control tower scenarios. This functionality isn't part of the standard HERE WeGo Pro license and is currently in Beta. If you're interested, get in touch at HERE WeGo Pro.

HERE WeGo Pro live tracking overview

While a driver is using the HERE WeGo Pro app, the app periodically (every 5 minutes by default) sends the driver's location and the destination ETA to the HERE WeGo Pro backend. If customers additionally license HERE Tracking, the data is available for query by HERE Tracking.

HERE WeGo Pro live tracking position storage

The HERE WeGo app stores the latest position reported by the driver. During guidance, the HERE WeGo app also stores the remaining stops along the route and their ETA.

HERE WeGo Pro live tracking limitations

The following limitations apply to live tracking:

• Live tracking is only available in Apple iOS during guidance or when the HERE WeGo app is in the foreground.
• Live tracking is only available in Android OS as long as the app is open, including in the background.
• Live tracking is set to off by default.
• Live tracking must be enabled for each user or activation key.
• The user profile or activation key controls live tracking and cannot be modified by the driver.
• There is a fixed set interval between tracking updates.
