In EVCP API v2 the Tesla connector (ID=43) previously covered both SAE_J3400 and Tesla proprietary connectors. Now, the original connector ID=43 strictly covers only true SAE_J3400 (NACS) connectors, and the new TESLA_S connector (ID=68) covers the Tesla proprietary connectors. In EVCP API v3 and HMC the SAE_J3400 connector previously covered both SAE_J3400 and Tesla proprietary connectors. Now, SAE_J3400 strictly covers only true SAE_J3400 (NACS) connectors and the new TESLA_S connector covers the Tesla proprietary connectors. The change enables differentiating between Tesla NACS partner chargers and chargers only for Tesla electric vehicles by inspecting the connector type alone. |
