Migrate flowbasetile requests

This section provides information on how to migrate flowbasetile requests from HERE Traffic Raster Tile API v2 to v3.

flowbasetile is deprecated. HERE Traffic Raster Tile API only returns transparent traffic flow tiles.

However, you can still generate image tiles containing traffic flow and bases with client-side changes.

Example of merged traffic with background tile

A flow traffic flow tile can be requested from HERE Traffic Raster Tile APIalong with abackground` tile from the Raster Tile API. The two tiles can then merged using image processing libraries or the HERE Maps API for Javascript.
