Understand EV Profiles API response format

The following sections provide a quick reference information for all API response parameters.

Pagination

The API uses pagination allowing you to retrieve results in smaller, manageable chunks (pages). This improves performance and reduces response times when dealing with extensive vehicle catalogs and enables features like a systematic navigation through large vehicle catalogs.

The response includes a nextOffset field that contains the offset value for the next page. This field is only present when more results are available. Use this value in your next request’s offset parameter to get the following page.

See the following request examples for most common pagination use cases:

# Get first 20 makes for initial page load
curl "https://evprofiles.tourplanning.hereapi.com/v1/makes?limit=20&apiKey=YOUR_API_KEY"

# Get next page using nextOffset from previous response
curl "https://evprofiles.tourplanning.hereapi.com/v1/makes?offset=20&limit=20&apiKey=YOUR_API_KEY"

# Get just 5 items for a dropdown menu
curl "https://evprofiles.tourplanning.hereapi.com/v1/makes?limit=5&apiKey=YOUR_API_KEY"

Note

  • Country information is provided using ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 country codes. The list of supported countries is limited to those where vehicle classifications are defined. Currently supported countries include:

    • DEU (Germany)
    • GBR (Great Britain)
    • NLD (Netherlands)
  • When the country field is null or not present, it indicates a general classification that applies to most European countries. Country-specific classes override the general classification.
