How to use a PVID list with Traffic Analytics

If you have access to the HERE Map, then you can also choose link ID references, also known as PVIDs, which provide finer granularity and broader coverage than TMC codes. Make sure you use the version of the HERE Map which corresponds to the one referenced in Traffic Analytics at the time you make your query.

If you have a list of HERE Map link ID references, or PVIDs, you can choose the PVIDs filtering option and enter them one-by-one (or paste in a list) into the PVID box. The input field automatically detects and recognizes the entered or pasted IDs after you press Return. If the system doesn't recognize and validate an ID, it's ignored. As with the TMC option, there is a limit of 1000 Link PVIDs per query, and when you enter a list, valid separators are comma, space, or newline, but not a combination of those (that is, comma+space doesn’t work).

Using HERE Map link PVIDs enables the most granular road segments available in the HERE Map version mentioned in the portal (for example, "2021Q1"). The direction of travel on that link (as a T or F), must follow the numeric PVID. For example, if your data is on link 12345 you would enter 12345T or 12345F to generate data for either direction of travel, or both of those if you want data for both directions. The HERE Map documentation describes how to find this direction.
