Select a vehicle type to use for Traffic Analytics

HERE uses probe data from a combination of vehicle types, to represent the overall traffic view on roadways.

There are three options from which you can select your vehicle types:

• Passenger
• Truck
• Passenger + truck

For most purposes, HERE recommends selecting the combination of passenger and truck data, which is the default. HERE sources don't provide individual vehicle classifications. Instead, they represent the overall mix of their fleets. When you select truck vehicles, Traffic Analytics provides data that's mostly, but not exclusively, generated from trucks. Also, passenger vehicle data is mostly, but not exclusively generated from passenger vehicles.

Since trucks aren't the most common vehicle on most roads, selecting truck-only data reduces the total coverage of a dataset. As noted in the previous section on coverage, the truck option isn't offered in some countries where HERE doesn't have significant truck sample data available.
