Footpaths feature class (Footpaths)

Tier availability: Essential, Advanced, Premier

The Footpaths feature class derives from the Streets data and includes street segments that don't allow any vehicle access other than emergency vehicles or in some cases, motorcycles, but do allow pedestrian access.

Field name Data type Description
NAME String (100) The Name is a cartographic label for each street segment. It's the full street name of the segment including the abbreviated street type, prefix and suffix, for example "Fred St S". Where multiple names exist for a street segment the one most likely to be useful for cartographic display of highways and major roads identified where possible
LANGUAGE_CODE String (3) Standard code for the language associated with the feature name
NAME_LATIN String (100) Cartographic label for each street segment, using Latin character set, full street name of the segment including the abbreviated street type, prefix and suffix, for example "Fred St S". Where multiple names exist for a street segment the one most likely to be useful for cartographic display of highways and major roads identified where possible
LANGUAGE_CODE_LATIN String (3) Standard code for the language associated with the feature name, using Latin character set
TUNNEL String (1) Indicates if the street segment is a tunnel. For this purpose a tunnel is a covered passageway through or under an obstruction. Available values are:
  • Y - Tunnel
  • N - Not a Tunnel

Tunnel = Y applies when the tunnel is longer than 200 metres/656 feet. Smaller tunnels may available where significant.

BRIDGE String (1) Indicates if the street segment is a bridge. For this purpose a bridge is a structure that allows a road, railroad, or walkway to pass over another road, railroad, water feature, or valley. Available values are:
  • Y - Bridge
  • N - Not a Bridge

Bridge = Y applies when the bridge is longer than 200 metres/656 feet. Smaller bridges may available where significant. Overpasses/Underpasses receive Bridge = N.
