Water areas feature class (Water_Areas)
Tier availability: Essential, Advanced, Premier
The Water_Areas feature class contains polygons that represent water features, including rivers, water channels, lakes, bays/harbours, rivers, intermittent rivers and canals. Some water features may display as both polygons and linear features and consequently be present in both the Water_Lines and Water_Areas feature classes.

| LANGUAGE_CODE_LATIN | String (3) | The language associated with the feature name, using Latin character set |
| FEATURE_TYPE | Integer (4) | The standard HERE Feature Code. For example, 500412 for rivers, 500421 for lakes |
| FEATURE_TYPE_DESC | String (50) | The standard HERE Feature Type Description. For example, River, Lake, and so on |
| COVERAGE_INDICATOR | String (2) | Indicates a product level that corresponds to the inclusion of database feature, indicates verification and completeness for a particular feature in the database |
| EXPANDED_INCLUSION | Integer (4) | Identifies cartographic features or links that meet the expanded inclusion criteria. It allows for the option to not publish or display these links/ features if the inclusion causes size issues.
For example, river polygons where the width is >5 m and <25 m qualify as expanded inclusion, which is not the case for a width of > 25 m. |
