Network dataset

The HERE GIS Data Suite network dataset is built using ArcGIS Network Analyst® technology and incorporates turn restrictions, one-way restrictions, relative elevation data, access restrictions for different vehicle types, and time and length cost attributes. A modified time cost attribute is also supplied that reflects the generally slower traffic conditions in urban areas. Directions configured for the network dataset include alternate street names and signpost directions.

The network dataset includes height, weight, length, and width parameterized restrictions where available from HERE. Additional turn restrictions, transport preferred routes, and truck speed limits are available for transport vehicles and built into network dataset attributes.

The network dataset contains the HERE historic traffic data patterns and allows a variety of analyses to run at a specified time and day each week. Free flow and average times is data coming from the traffic. The network dataset for this edition has built-in times based on speed limits. For information about how to run traffic based analyses, see the ArcGIS Pro® help.

The network dataset in the HERE GIS Data Suite FGDB is NETWORK_ND, found in the NETWORK feature dataset. The feature classes Routing_Streets, Signposts, and Turns define network dataset elements and are part of the NETWORK feature dataset. A number of tables supports the network dataset, including Signpost_Streets, TimeZones, and for traffic products, Streets_DailyProfiles, DailyProfiles, and StreetsTMC.

You can run network dataset analyses through ArcGIS Network Analyst®. The Time Slider toolbar may display time slices of historic traffic data.

The HERE GIS Data Suite network dataset is part of HERE GIS Data Suite Road Infrastructure, Rules, Regulations, and Traffic Data.
