How to get the Argentina map approval by IGN?
All producers/importers of map products for Argentina market should comply with official cartography established by the ‘Instituto Geográfico Nacional de la República Argentina’ (IGN). Producers/publishers should seek approval from IGN prior to commercializing the product. To comply with this regulation HERE has applied for certification and received the approvals for the continental map of Argentina.
Note: If the customers decide not to display borders, it will not be necessary to submit the approval process. However, we recommend obtain this confirmation from IGN.

Procedure
IGN implies two processes of revision and corrections called Print Authorization and Final Approval of each map that represents Argentina territory. Any company that imports maps must comply with these processes to be authorized to commercialize and distribute map products in the country. the approval obtained is not transferable. HERE cannot represent customers in this process.
Starting in 2019, IGN required submit each application via "Trámites a Distancia" (TAD) web portal. It is a requirement to have a "CUIT" (Unique Tax Identification Code in English) and a fiscal password. Only local people/companies have tax id.
Response Procedure by IGN
For obtaining a first response or approval from IGN the average is two weeks.
Approval provides a Registration / tracking number to bring to Customs for any product (map or product containing a map) importation.
