Missing detailed map data for some countries

Overview

This article explains why the level of map detail varies across countries and regions and how to determine the coverage level provided by HERE for a specific location.

Cause

HERE provides different map coverage levels for each country and region. The level of detail available in maps and search results depends on the coverage level assigned to that location.

For example, countries with Entry-level coverage may only include major roads and motorways, while countries with higher coverage levels provide more detailed content, such as local roads, addresses, administrative areas, and points of interest (POIs).

How to Check Coverage Levels

To review HERE's coverage levels and determine what level of map data is available for a specific country or region, refer to the following resources:

Geocoding Coverage:

Search Coverage by Country/Region:

Resolution

If a country displays limited map detail, this is generally due to the coverage level available for that region within HERE's mapping database.

Countries with Entry-level coverage may display only major roads and motorways, resulting in less detailed map visualization and search results compared to countries with more comprehensive coverage.

This behavior is expected and reflects the current level of map coverage provided by HERE for the affected country or region. Verify the coverage level using the links above to confirm the data available for a specific location.
