How to report road closure and constructions using Map Creator

Overview

Map Creator allows users to report road closures and construction activities incidents. This article explains how to submit reports using both the Desktop and Mobile versions of Map Creator and how to view existing road closure and construction reports.

Reporting Road Closures and Construction in Map Creator (Desktop)

1. Zoom to the area where you want to report a road closure or construction activity or use the Search bar to locate the area.
2. Select the road segment (link) for which you want to report the closure or construction.
3. Click the Report Missing/Invalid Closures and Construction icon (red construction button) located on the attribute toolbar.

4. Complete the report by providing the available information:

+ Direction
+ Type of Incident
+ Add or Remove Incident
+ Reason
+ Closure Period
+ Source (if available)
+ Additional Information

5. Click Send Report to submit the report.

Viewing Existing Road Closure and Construction Reports

To display existing Road Closures and Constructions reports on the map:

1. Open the Object Panel.
2. Navigate to Support Layers.
3. Enable the Road Closures and Construction layer.

Reporting Road Closures and Construction in Map Creator (Mobile)

1. Zoom to the area where you want to report the road closure or construction.
2. Activate the Edit tool.
3. Select the road segment (link) associated with the incident and tap Next.

4. Tap the red Construction icon (Report Closures, Construction, Events).

5. Provide the available information:

+ Type of Incident
+ Add or Remove Incident
+ Reason
+ Direction of Travel
+ Period
+ Official Source (if available)
+ Additional Information

6. Tap Done to submit the report.
