Admin Wide Regulations: U-Turns forbidden without RDMs

Admin Wide Regulations: U-Turns forbidden without RDMs

In some areas a general rule exist that no U-Turn is allowed at intersections except it is specifically allowed with a sign. This is in complete opposite to the normal regulation that U-Turns are allowed unless specifically prohibited. In order not to code RDMs (Restricted Driving Maneuvers) for every intersection, the feature “Admin Wide Regulations” is used.

If a country, state, county, or city has Admin Wide Regulations prohibiting U-turns,

ADMIN_WIDE_REGULATIONS = 1 is published for that Administrative Area.

Please see attached document “HERE Administrative Areas Where U-Turns are Not Allowed” for further examples.

Where there is an exception to this rule, it will be coded via a “Permitted Maneuver Condition” coding.

Please find attached a section for this from the RDF-Reference Manual.
