[Usage] Unknown apps usage and how to delete catalogs

Question

There are unknown apps on the Usage dashboard of the platform portal that need explanation:

Answer

There is explanation on the exclamation mark icons as "HERE system app needed to support core service functions".

If the above explanation is not sufficient, here are more details about each of them:

YQijV3hAPdxySAVtE6ZT (name: HERE Platform Portal) covers usage of the platform portal by the customer.
+ For example, HERE Style Editor renders HERE maps without any customer app but still generate usage via this app.
7ZYLPTnZnUCLZ01iRdt4 (name: DS Interactive Map Service) covers usage of interactive may layer from custom catalog under Data.
* W3w9ifoid5AcyaYgBvJB (name: Metrics Accounting Credentials) is for Data Metrics Service
+ The service is responsible for monitoring and reporting of Datastore metrics which are used to OLP billing and customer facing metrics.

Resolution

Since these apps are all under the category of Data Storage, deleting your stored map data on HERE platform could eliminate these usages.

You can use Data API, Data Client Library, or OLP CLI tool to delete a catalog, but follow this guide if you want to do it on the HERE platform:

1. Log in to your HERE platform portal at https://platform.here.com then navigate to https://platform.here.com/data

2. Your custom or self created catalog that created the Data Storage usage should be on top of the list as follows:

3. If you own project, since most catalogs are created from within projects, you can also find them in Project Manager.

4. Now you found the catalog, contact its creator or owner before deleting it to avoid unexpected impact on apps replying on it.

5. Think it again and make sure confirmed with your dev team and the people in its "Access and permissions" tab > More > Delete project

Note

More such apps could be added in the future, you can contact HERE support team to report other apps that need explanation.
