How to receive local map regulatory information?

Applying local map regulations to digital map products is a challenge. By and large, local regulations are not written for the digital era. This paper is provided to give HERE customers the best information available about the status of local map approvals. It is impossible to provide one global map that satisfies all local interests. HERE customers should understand the needs of their business -- such as where maps will be distributed and what consumer base is a predominant voice – in evaluating which version of HERE map should be used.

Territories where HERE obtains local regulatory approval for its map are listed in Regulatory Approval for HERE Maps.
Territories that require each distributor of a map to obtain regulatory approval are listed in Regulatory Approval for each Distributor.
Territories that indicate that approval of a map is required and where HERE does not receive such approval are listed in No Regulatory Approval for HERE Maps.
Territories, where US or EU sanctions may restrict the distribution of HERE maps, are listed in Distribution Subject to Sanction.
Territories, where no map approval is needed, are included in No Approval Needed.
Territories where HERE has not received approvals to distribute Digital Terrain Model (DTM) are included in DTM Approval.

For countries where approval is required for map distributors, the document provides the contact information for each country.

Together with the Local Maps Regulatory Approvals overview document, HERE provides the HERE map approval documents from particular countries and links them to the approval document.
