How to distinguish BPMF strings for branch names?
How to distinguish BPMF strings for branch names?
What's BPMF? BPMF stands for Bopomofo, also called Zhuyin (Chinese: 注音), or Mandarin Phonetic Symbols, is the major Chinese transliteration system for Taiwanese Mandarin. Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bopomofo.
In Taiwan we have several POI chains are with branch names separated with location identifier "-".
Example:
Chain Name - Branch Name
Carrefour – Ban Ciao Branch
CARPLUS – Taipei Jian Bei Branch
However, there are some customers don't want to display Branch Names nor search the Branch Names by BPMF input. They want the Chain Names only.
Solution: please use the attached excel to distinguish them.
1. Find the corresponding BPMF strings of POI names in column D.
2. Normalize the BPMF strings in column E.
3. Distinguish the Chain Name (with chain name) or POI name (without chain name) of the full name in column F.
4. Distinguish the Branch Name (if it has) in column G.
